I purchased the hard copy and installed the game now am waiting on a 16 to 18gig download on a update. Mine has been going for two whole weeks! If your game gets stuck wait 2 hours if it hasn't progressed after 2 hours then restart your download. I'm downloading on Xbox one and I'm on the update part of the download, will the controller disconnect screen effect my download?
If you're game takes under a day to download consider yourself lucky. So far for me it's going great. Also my friend told me that Xfinity is the best internet for online gaming because she can have a lot of people connected to it and it works well. I played it during the Beta, don't remember it taking so long back then. I just wanna play it. No excuse. No other MMO with large size takes that long to download and install.
This game is big enough and funded enough to fix that. I don't know what to do but wait it out. You should probably check your internet connection then. It shouldn't take that long, so either your connection is sub-par or you don't have enough storage which also sucks.
I am having the same issue the game is taking forever to install. It's download enough to where it says ready to start but if my controller goes off will it stop downloading? Took me around a little more or a little less than 48 hours on my Xbox but my wifi is crap honestly. Up to build , ESO had some files missing but doing a repair would fix this issue. I ran the game's Repair tool and it always said that there was at least one file that couldn't be accessed.
I tried to figure out which one but was unable to. I decided to uninstall the game then try to reinstall it. The installation process has 2 parts, the initial launcher then a secondary launcher, which will first install the Game Launcher and Uninstaller. I've tried running the launcher in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and Windows 7, but with an without Admin privileges.
