I've spent alot of time creating those worlds. Im worried if I take it to apple to make the ipad work again, it will cost hundreds and they will erase everything and I'll lose my worlds anyway.

If they were saved on external, which means the cloud then it should be able to be downloaded again. Just check on the Mojang support forums if someone there will be able to help you with the issue. I'm not familiar with how Minecraft works on iOS. Do you need to sign into the Xbox Live account every time before you use the Minecraft app? I thought you only need to sign in once and then you can use the app. You can add app playing limits to the Minecraft app, this article for more info.
